Brookhaven's Seminar Snapshots "Assessment and Treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder: Presenter: Jeff Riggenbach, Ph.D. Date: June 3, 2009 Synopsis: Borderline personality disorder is widely considered the most difficult to treat diagnosis faced by the mental heath community. Co-occurring borderline characteristics are associated with treatment failure for a broad range of Axis I conditions and BPD is responsible for more health care dollars than any other psychiatric condition. Unitl recent years, the diagnosis has been considered "untreatable" by many professionals. During his presentation, Dr. Riggenbach shared some of the latest strategies and techniques from a variety of empirically supported therapeutic modalities. Participants left the seminar with practical easy to implement interventions to utilize with patients. |
