Brookhaven's Seminar Snapshots "A New Treatment Approach for Eating Disorders" Presenter: Chisoo Chio, MD Date: December 06th, 2006 Synopsis: Dr. Chio discussed the diagnostic criteria, medical consequences and the treatment approach of the three major types of eating disorders. He explained the differences between anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder and cited many valuable resources and the history of each disorder. He shed light on both women and men living with the eating disorders and the long term effect if left untreated or not treated soon enough.
