Synopsis:

This seminar explained the Social Security disability process. It defined what Social Security considers a disability and how it looks at the case and evidence presented. It focused on ways a clinician can help a patient who is disabled and filing for benefits.

The goals of this seminar:

Explain the Social Security process and the relevant terms.
Increase awareness of the definition of disability.
Learn how to indentify someone that might qualify for disability benefits.
Review ways that a clinician can help someone that has filed for disability benefits.
Understand the advantages of disability benefits.

Michael Clay

Michael Clay is a Tulsa attorney and founder of the Social Security Law Center, Inc. His practice is restricted to Social Security disability law. He recieved his bachelor degree from the University of Oklahoma and his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Tulsa. He is a member of National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives (NOSSCR) and is admitted to practice before the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals and Oklahoma federal and state courts. Mr. Clay has practiced Social Security disability law for about 15 years and has also been a speaker at continuing education seminars and at NOSSCR conferences. In addition, pe publishes a bi-monthly newsletter about Social Security issues.
