As Chairman of the Ethics Committee at Brookhaven, Ron Broughton understands the various issues concerning professional boundaries that exist between both client and therapist, as well as between therapists and supervisors.

In this presentation, Ron offers keys to understanding when professional boundaries may be in jeopardy. He also explains how to establish and maintain proper boundaries, and why a strong sense of boundaries are critical to individuals and organizations alike.

Ron Broughton, M Ed, LPC is the Clinical Director of Behavioral Health Services and Admissions at Brookhaven, as well as the Chairman of the Ethics Committee at Brookhaven. He received an M Ed from the University of Central Oklahoma. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and is also licensed to supervise LPC candidates. Ron has worked extensively with severely mentally ill patients in community mental health and inpatient settings. He has written several academic papers on schizophrenia and psychosis, and has conducted numerous mental health presentations and workshops. He also served on an expert panel for the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health Substance Abuse Services. .
