During her presentation Dr. Dillard discussed strategies for helping couples work through liaisons that have occurred outside the committed relationship. Specific clinical assignments and steps toward disclosure, recovery, healing and forgiveness were presented. Dr. Dillard also presented a clinical model for working with couples who are coping with their trauma. Additionally, the underlying assumptions this clinical model is based upon were discussed

Speaker Profile

Carol Dillard, Ph.D.

Carol Dillard earned her doctorate in Marriage and Family Studies from Virginia Tech and has been in private practice in Oklahoma since 1984. She has been a psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, consultant, trainer, coach and educator. She teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses and currently teaches for TCC. In addition to her private practice and workshops, she is also counseling elementary school children. She has presented at conferences both locally and nationally on a variety of topics.
