Antioxidants, omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin E are all essential to building a diet that will keep your brain healthy and performing well. Interestingly, the active ingredient in turmeric, called curcumin, was recently used to make a drug that reversed Alzheimer’s disease in mice. That’s just one example of the power of a diet with the right nutrients.

Regular exercise, not even necessarily anything overly strenuous, can have amazing impact on brains. Whether it slows or prevents cognitive decline or helps increase brain size, there have been numerous studies pointing to this easy and simple way to stay mentally healthy.

As for meditation, some experts have found that simply taking some time to practice this can actually improve your brain’s ability to process information.
