Rolf B. Gainer, Ph.D., Diplomate ABDA, is the Chief Executive Office at Brookhaven Hospital and the Vice President of Rehabilitation Institutes of America. He is the founder of the Neurologic Rehabilitation Institute of Ontario (Canada). Dr. Gainer is a psychologist who has been involved in the design and operation of treatment programs since 1977. He has published numerous articles on mental health and rehabilitation topics and has presented at many international conferences. He remains active in outcome research.
Kenneth Pierce is the Chief Financial Officer at Brookhaven Hospital. He has over 25 years of hospital accounting and management experience in major hospitals in Missouri, Tennessee and Florida. He is a graduate of the University of South Florida, Tampa.
Jennifer Earnhardt, BA, MS, is the Financial Services Coordinator for Brookhaven Hospital. She is also one of the administrators of the Hospital. Jennifer attended the University of Oklahoma receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2004 in Letters followed by her Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern State University in 2009. She has been with Brookhaven for over 7 years and began her work as a Mental Health Technician on the Behavioral Health unit. While attending school, Jennifer worked in the Medical Records department and the Business Office, completing her internship as a therapist on both the BH and NRI units. After finishing her degree, Jennifer returned to the Business Office as the Assistant to the CFO before being promoted to her current role. She also handles potential client requests from the website, ensuring they feel comfortable before admission. In her free time, she enjoys reading and researching different aspects of the field of psychology.
Jason Pirtle, MSM, is our Director of Business Development. He has over 18 years experience in the areas of HealthCare Administration and Finance. Jason completed both his Bachelor and Masters of Science in Management from Southern Nazarene University. Jason began his career at Brookhaven Hospital in 2013.
Mark D. Gage, DO, is the Medical Director of Brookhaven Hospital. He is board certified in psychiatry and is a graduate of Western University of Health Sciences. In addition to his studies in psychiatry, Dr. Gage completed his undergraduate work in psychology at Chapman University. He brings over seventeen years of experience in psychiatry to Brookhaven.
Liphard D’Souza, MD, is the Medical Director of Brookhaven’s Neurologic Rehabilitation Institute at Brookhaven. Dr D’Souza holds multiple board certifications in Neurology. He obtained his medical training at St. John’s Medical College in Bangalor, India, and was an Associate Professor at Oral Roberts University School of Medicine at the City of Faith Hospital. He has worked in hospital, agency and private practice settings for over 32 years.
Chisoo Choi, MD, is an Internal Medicine Consultant for Brookhaven and the Renewal Christian Care Program. He is board certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Choi graduated from Rush Medical College in Chicago and was a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine and the Oral Roberts University School of Medicine.
Edward Melton, MD, is a physician specializing in mental health who serves as an outpatient consultant for Brookhaven Hospital. He is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma’s School of Medicine. He completed his undergraduate work at the US Military Academy at West Point and was a service member in the US Army.
Paul Cochran, MD, is a graduate of University of Oklahoma Medical School and holds board certifications in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Psychiatry. His experience includes founding and operating free clinics, practicing emergency medicine in area hospitals and serving as the Director of EMS Boards for Wagoner and Creek counties.
Brian Boatwright, MS, PsyD, holds a PsyD in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Neuropsychology. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, holding Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Psychology and his doctorate was earned at Georgia School of Professional Psychology-Argosy University. He has completed a Post-doctoral Fellowship in Neuropsychology and has experience as a Psychometrist and providing therapeutic services during internships at Vanderbilt University/Veterans Medical Center Tennessee Valley Healthcare System. In addition he has experience as a Clinical Therapist and Program Director.
Charles D. Van Tuyl, MD earned a Ph.D. from Indiana University in 1972 with primary concentration in Central Eurasian Studies. He taught at Bacone College, Muskogee, Oklahoma before changing from the teaching to the medical profession. He earned an M.D. from the University of Oklahoma in `1987. Dr. Van Tuyl has been a psychiatrist in McAlester, Oklahoma and Tulsa, Oklahoma and has also published several scholarly books including a Handbook of the Cherokee Verb and a translation of Athanasius Kircher’s China Illustrata (1667) from the original Latin into English.
Brent E. Wurfel, MD, Ph.D, received his B.S. in chemistry at Beloit College, his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley and an MD from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Dr. Wurfel has been the Director of the Small-Scale Chemistry Training Center and an Assistant Professor of Chemistry and Physics at Arkansas State University Mountain Home.
M.J. Clausen MS, LPC, is the Community Education Coordinator for Brookhaven Hospital. M.J. earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Tulsa and her MS degree from Oklahoma State University in Community Counseling. She has had a varied career working as a mental health and career counselor, a teacher and as a volunteer working in a women’s assistance program to develop skills for returning to work or school.
