Rolf B. Gainer, Ph.D. Diplomate ABDARolf B. Gainer, Ph.D., Diplomate ABDA, is the Chief Executive Office at Brookhaven Hospital and the Vice President of Rehabilitation Institutes of America. He is the founder of the Neurologic Rehabilitation Institute of Ontario (Canada). Dr. Gainer is a psychologist who has been involved in the design and operation of treatment programs since 1977. He has published numerous articles on mental health and rehabilitation topics and has presented at many international conferences. He remains active in outcome research.

Mark D. Gage, DOMark D. Gage, DO, is the Medical Director of Brookhaven Hospital. He is board certified in psychiatry and is a graduate of Western University of Health Sciences. In addition to his studies in psychiatry, Dr. Gage completed his undergraduate work in psychology at Chapman University. He brings over seventeen years of experience in psychiatry to Brookhaven.

Liphard D'Souza, MDLiphard D’Souza, MD, is the Medical Director of Brookhaven’s Neurologic Rehabilitation Institute at Brookhaven. Dr D’Souza holds multiple board certifications in Neurology. He obtained his medical training at St. John’s Medical College in Bangalor, India, and was an Associate Professor at Oral Roberts University School of Medicine at the City of Faith Hospital. He has worked in hospital, agency and private practice settings for over 32 years.

Chisoo Choi, MDChisoo Choi, MD, is an Internal Medicine Consultant for Brookhaven and the Renewal Christian Care Program. He is board certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Choi graduated from Rush Medical College in Chicago and was a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine and the Oral Roberts University School of Medicine.

Edward Melton, MDEdward Melton, MD, is a physician specializing in mental health who serves as an outpatient consultant for Brookhaven Hospital. He is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma’s School of Medicine. He completed his undergraduate work at the US Military Academy at West Point and was a service member in the US Army.

David Eakin II, MDDavid Eakin II, MD,is a psychiatric consultant for Brookhaven Hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma. In addition to serving clients at Brookhaven, Dr. Eakin has a private practice in the Tulsa area, which has been in operation since 2004.

Behavioral Health Services

Ron Broughton, M Ed, LPCRon Broughton, M Ed, LPC, CBIS is the Chief Clinical Officer at Brookhaven Hospital. He received an M Ed from the University of Central Oklahoma. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and is also licensed to supervise LPC candidates. He has written several academic papers on schizophrenia and psychosis, and has conducted numerous mental health presentations and workshops. Amber Siegfried, LPCAmber Siegfried, LPC, is Director of Utilization Review at Brookhaven Hospital. She has a BA in Communications with minors in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Colorado at Denver. She obtained an MA in Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education with an emphasis on couples and family counseling, also from the University of Colorado at Denver. Amber is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has been with Brookhaven for 2 years following her work as Clinical Director of an Adolescent Girls Treatment Center.

Sarah Maxey, BSWSarah Maxey, BSW, is the Utilization Review Assistant at Brookhaven Hospital. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Northeastern State University and is currently pursing a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Oklahoma – Tulsa. Sarah began working for Brookhaven over three years ago as a Social Worker. Sarah also worked as an Admissions Counselor before moving into her current role in Utilization Review. Sarah has previous experience working for a therapeutic foster care agency.

Matt Maxey, RN, BSN, CBISMatt Maxey, RN, BSN, CBIS is the Director of Nursing at Brookhaven Hospital. He received his Bachelors Degree in Nursing from the University of Central Oklahoma. He has certification in emergency room trauma as well as a wealth of experience in care centers and hospitals.

Courtney Province, MSWCourtney Province, MSW, is the Director of Social Work at Brookhaven Hospital. She received her Masters and Bachelors Degrees in Social Work from the University of Oklahoma.

Angela Linger, MS, LPCAngela Linger, MS, LPC, is Behavioral Heath Director for Brookhaven Hospital. She completed her Masters Degree in Counseling at Northeastern State University and her Bachelors Degree at the same university in Education. She is licensed to supervise LPC candidates and has experience working with children and adults at various agencies in Tulsa.

Jeff Riggenbach, PhD, LPCJeff Riggenbach, PhD, LPC is Outpatient Coordinator for Brookhaven Hospital. Jeff received his PhD from Louisiana Baptist University and has since trained at The Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and Research in Philadelphia. Additionally Dr. Riggenbach speaks nationally and internationally on cognitive therapy and has specific expertise in treatment of personality disorders. He is a member of The Beck Institute’s speaker’s bureau, a diplomat of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy and is one of three certified cognitive therapists in the state of Oklahoma.

Deborah Steen, LPCDeborah Steen, LPC, is an outpatient counselor at Brookhaven Hospital. She received her Bachelors from Oklahoma Christian College in English and a Masters in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern State. She has a special interest in therapy for anxiety.

Carol O'Bryan MS, LMFT, LPCCarol O’Bryan MS, LMFT, LPC, is a outpatient counselor for Brookhaven Hospital. She received her Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Friends University, Wichita KS and her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from the University of Missouri Kansas City. With eight years of experience, Carol has worked in inpatient, residential, and outpatient settings as well as seeing clients in a private practice. Carol is a Clinical Member of American Association of Marriage and Therapists and a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. She enjoys working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, grief, codependency, families of addiction and/or mental illness and families in transition.

Apryl Stansill, MSApryl Stansill, MS is a therapist at Brookhaven Hospital. She holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern State University in addition to a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Fort Lewis College. Apryl also obtained her Addictionology Certification in 2007 from Casper College. She is currently under supervision to obtain LADC licensure. Apryl originally joined Brookhaven in 2009 while completing her internship at NSU. Currently, Apryl leads daily groups pertaining to all aspects of behavioral health.

Janice L. Ponds, LADCJanice L. Ponds, LADC is a therapist at Brookhaven Hospital. She holds a Masters Degree in Special Education focusing on School Psychology and a Bachelors Degree in Education. Janice’s area of professional focus is centered on chemical dependency issues.

Mary Young, MS, LPC, CBISMary Young, MS, LPC, CBIS is a therapist at Brookhaven and the Neurologic Rehabilitation Institute. She completed her Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology at Northwestern State University of Louisiana and her Bachelors Degree in Psychology at Henderson State University. She has been in the counseling field for fourteen years.

Sherry Peters, MS, LPCSherry Peters, MS, LPC, is an eating disorders therapist at Brookhaven Hospital. She completed her Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology at Northeastern State University as well as her Bachelors in Psychology from the same university.

Kathy Loehr, MS, LPC, LADCKathy Loehr, MS, LPC, LADC, is the Admissions Supervisor at Brookhaven Hospital. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Michigan State University as well as a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern State University. Kathy has worked in admissions since starting at Brookhaven almost one year ago. Kathy performs admission assessments for both the behavioral health and brain injury units. Kathy brings almost six years of experience in the field of psychology including her background in admissions as well as case management.

James Griffith, Mental Health TechnicianJames Griffith is a lead tech on Brookhaven’s behavioral health unit. James has been with Brookhaven for almost three years. He originally started in a part-time position working on both the behavioral health and brain injury units as needed. James quickly moved into a full-time position before going on to be promoted into the lead tech position. James enjoys the opportunities his current position gives him to work with clients on a more personal level. In addition, James brings over five years of experience in the substance abuse field with specific training in managing clients going through detox.

Sherrill Scott, LPC, is a weekend crisis therapist at Brookhaven Hospital. Sherrill received her Masters Degree in Education with a special focus in professional counseling from Oklahoma City University and her Bachelors Degree in Journalism and Public Relations from Southern Methodist University. She has over 15 years experience in direct service.

Merle Brock, LMFT,is a weekend eating disorders therapist for the Rader program at Brookhaven Hospital. She received her Masters Degree in Family Relations and Child Development from Oklahoma State University and completed her Bachelors through Southwestern Seminary.

Liphard D'Souza, MDLiphard D’Souza, MD, is the Medical Director of Brookhaven’s Neurologic Rehabilitation Institute at Brookhaven. Dr D’Souza holds multiple board certifications in Neurology. He has worked in hospital, agency and private practice settings for over 32 years.

Laura Wilson, MS, SLP, CBISLaura Wilson, MS, SLP, CBIS is a speech therapist for the Neurologic Rehabilitation Institute at Brookhaven. She completed her Masters and Bachelors Degrees in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Tulsa.

Doug GrahamDoug Graham is a Job Coach and Certified CPI Trainer. He has worked in the Neurologic Rehabilitation Institute at Brookhaven for over 10 years. Doug received his training at Rogers State University.

Jeff PeytonJeff Peyton is the Recreational Therapist for Brookhaven Hospital. He possesses a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology as well as his EMT Basic Certification. He brings over fifteen years of experience in the field to his current position. Jeff originally started his career at Brookhaven over four years ago as a mental health technician. He worked on both the behavioral health and traumatic brain injury units before moving on to become the Recreational Therapist.

Community Outreach and Education

Sarah McGee, Community Education CoordinatorSarah McGee, BS, is the Community Education Coordinator for Brookhaven Hospital. She received her Bachelor of Science from Oklahoma State University in 2003. In the eight years that Sarah has been with Brookhaven, she attends conferences to assist with education outreach. In addition, she developed Brookhaven’s professional seminar series which are held monthly for professionals in the field.

Debbie Jones, RNDebbie Jones, RN, is the assistant director of nursing at Brookhaven Hospital. Debbie brings over ten years of nursing experience to Brookhaven. She obtained her degree in nursing from Sanford Brown Business College, St. Peters, MO.

Specialty Services and Consultants

Melani Riley, RD/LDMelani Riley, RD/LD, is the Food and Nutrition Manager at Brookhaven. She is responsible for the nutritional needs of patients and oversees the Dietary Department. She also conducts meal planning and nutrition groups for the Rader Eating Disorders Program.

Darla Tipps, DPhDarla Tipps, DPh,is the Pharmacist at Brookhaven. She obtained her BS in Pharmacy at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, and has extensive expertise in hospital pharmacology and home infusion.

Associate Chaplains

Bernard HubbardBernard Hubbard is lead chaplain for Brookhaven Hospital’s Renewal Christian Care Program. Bernard is a graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center and is ordained through the United Holy Church of America. He is also a graduate of Appalachian State University with a BS in business administration.

Joseph Martin, M.Div.Joseph Martin, M.Div., is a chaplain at Brookhaven Hospital. In addition to his service for Brookhaven as a chaplain, Joseph enjoys volunteering as a prison minister. Joseph obtained a Masters in Divinity from Oral Roberts University and is completing doctoral work towards a ministry degree from the same University.

Michelle MitchellMichelle Mitchell is a chaplain at Brookhaven Hospital. She is a Graduate of Global University with a degree in biblical studies and is an ordained minister. Mrs. Mitchell has worked with the Tulsa Mental Health Association and has experience as a prison ministry teacher with Calvary Temple.

Lorenda FordLorenda Fordis a chaplain for Brookhaven Hospital. She is a second year graduate of Rhema Bible College and enjoys traveling throughout the world as a missionary sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Facilities Management

John Annett, Director of Facilities ManagementJohn Annett is the Director of Facilities Management for Brookhaven Hospital. He brings over twenty years of experience in this field with certifications in HVAC and Basic Electricity. John has been with Brookhaven for over seven years and has an Associate degree in Business Management. John is also Brookhaven’s Safety Officer and stays current with federal, state, and local safety standards and regulations outlined in the Life Safety Program.

Greg Landrith, MaintenanceGreg Landrith works in the Maintenance department at Brookhaven Hospital. He received an Associates Degree in Advanced Science and Technology as well as Liberal Arts. Greg began his work at Brookhaven over six years ago as a Mental Health Technician on the Behavioral Health unit. He went on to become Lead Tech on the NRI unit before moving into the Maintenance department in 2010.
