While these can be serious conditions, the team of qualified medical and mental health professionals at Brookhaven’s outpatient program can successfully treat these life issues without the requirement of an inpatient facility.
Brookhaven’s unique outpatient services provide a confidential, therapeutic experience that incorporates professional guidance with individualized medical consultations for individuals who seek help in dealing with life issues or other mental health concerns but do not need or wish to stay in a hospital setting. With separate visits to the outpatient clinic, patients can schedule appointments around their own lives, giving them more control over their treatments.

Brookhaven has developed high specialized group therapy for individual’s who need a high level of psychological support to avoid recurrent hospitalizations. Our current therapy groups include:
- Emotion Regulation Group for individuals with difficulty is establishing self-regulation of their emotions and behavior
- Anxiety Management Group for individuals with a need for a high level of psychological support in establishing control over anxiety symptoms
- Borderline Personality Group for individuals struggling with the emotional and psychological turmoil of Borderline Personality Disorder
Every month, Brookhaven hosts a variety of support groups, which are free to the public. Whether it’s your first time going to a support group or you are just looking for a new perspective on something you may have dealt with in the past, these support groups are a great way to learn more and speak about your own experiences:
- Parkinson’s Support Group, held the 2nd Wednesday of every month from 3:30 – 5:00 PM.
- OCD Support Group, cosponsored by the Mental Health Association, which invites friends and family members as well as patients, is held 3:30 – 5:00 PM on the 3rd Wednesday of month
Our team of mental health clinicians will offer a complete range of services. Whichever program you choose, an experienced therapist will integrate a variety of approaches that work together and result in a solution-focused, success-oriented treatment. In addition, a psychiatrist will provide you with comprehensive medical care and consultation, giving you access to every option during your recovery.
Payment Options for Outpatient Services:
Brookhaven participates in the Medicare program and is an approved provider under CMS guidelines. Individuals with active Medicare coverage who meet the criteria for treatment in our outpatient programs and are referred to Brookhaven by a physician can be considered for admission to outpatient therapy and group services.
We accept Oklahoma Medicaid for outpatient services subject to the guidelines as established by the Oklahoma Medicaid program.
Brookhaven Hospital accepts most commercial insurance policies. As part of the pre-admission process we will ask you for specific information about your insurance coverage and we will advise you of your personal financial responsibility for the outpatient charges which may not be covered by your insurance.
Worker’s Compensation may cover your care and treatment if your condition can be attributed to psychological or psychiatric problems related to a workplace event. Brookhaven Admissions staff can work with your Worker’s Comp Case Manager or Adjuster to determine if you are eligible for coverage for our services.
Self-payment for treatment is becoming increasingly popular as some commercial insurance policies may not cover behavioral health, substance abuse or eating disorders treatment. Additionally, some people may prefer to pay privately for their care. Our Business Office and Admissions staff members will assist you in establishing self-payment arrangements with the hospital.
Other Funding Sources
Brookhaven works with other funding sources which include: churches and public as well as private agencies who are involved in your care and treatment. If you have an alternative funding source for your care our Business Office and Admissions staff will assist them in establishing payment arrangements with the hospital.
