Seminar Date: August 6, 2008
Presented By: Denise Hunter, LPC
Grief over the loss of a loved one and anticipatory grief related to terminal illness are commonly encountered themes confronting therapists. However, complexity is added to the grieving process by mental health issues, social and cultural norms, and family dynamics. During her presentation, Denise Hunter discussed common emotional, physical, spiritual, and psychological reactions during the grief process and self-care techniques that facilitate healthy grieving and management of stress.
