Seminar Date: November 5, 2008
Presented by: Pam Vrooman
During her presentation, Dr. Vrooman examined the impact of individual differences (personality) on therapeutic outcome, and illustrated how knowledge of personality facilitates the use of appropriate therapy treatment. Definitions of personality, specifically five-factor models, and an overview of personality outcome research were followed by specific illustrations of matching treatment to personality. Brief descriptions of personality tests such as the NEO-PI-R and MMRI-2 Psy-5 scales were provided. Finally, the audience participated in creatively utilizing this strategy with a case example. As evidenced by the large number of attendees and the resounding approval from listener feedback, the seminar was a huge success.
