During her presentation Dr. Dillard discussed strategies for helping couples work through liaisons that have occurred outside the committed relationship. Specific clinical assignments and steps toward disclosure, recovery, healing and forgiveness were presented. Dr. Dillard also presented a clinical model for working with couples who are coping with their trauma. Additionally, the underlying assumptions this clinical model is based upon were discussed.
