In his presentation, Robert Wester, MDIV MA presented Mental Health Professionals with historical, theoretical and practical guides to use faith, hope and love in the therapeutic process. Mental health professional were taught how to incorporate theological concepts ethically in the therapeutic process. Robert Wester incorporated materials by anthropologists, oncologists, geneticists and psychiatrists into his presentation.

Robert Wester, MDIV MA is Senior Chaplain at Brookhaven Hospital and the RENEWAL programs. He has worked with homeless men for 11 years as the Pastoral Counselor and Program manager at the John 3:16 Mission in Tulsa Oklahoma. He has served on a number of advocacy boards for the homeless and mentally ill and co-chaired the Mental Health and Substance Abuse Advisory of Tulsa. He developed and coordinates care for homeless men in the New Life Recovery Program for the John 3:16 Mission. This program reintegrates men with a wide variety of issues back into the community.

Depression Treatment - Depression is more than just feeling sad or down; it’s a serious disorder that needs attention and intervention.

Substance Abuse Treatment - Chemical dependency can affect anyone. Without proper treatment it can lead to a ruined life.
